"To name Helly Helbrecht in connection with glasses for motorcyclists would be to carry owls to Athens or Harley to Milwaukee - Helly is (felt) THE inventor of "biker glasses". The scion of a family business from North Rhine-Westphalia, which has been active in the optics industry since 1966, was one of the first to think about the special eyewear needs of motorcyclists, and started his own thing in 1992, initially only trading in sunglasses. With "Helly Bikereyes", the breakthrough was achieved, not only in the scene, but also in product tests: Sunglasses test winner in MOTORRAD, four models among the top five. In the meantime, Helly not only equips motorcyclists: Hunters, anglers and recreational athletes of all stripes are among its customers; reading glasses, blue light goggles - there is hardly a pair of glasses that Helly does not offer, all also in individual prescription. "The German brand Helly offers many eyewear, not only for bikers and especially with many options that we do not necessarily see otherwise: lenses directly in eyesight, tinted or polarized lenses, highly flexible frames and what we were most interested in, photochromic lenses.
(…) Without realizing it, they darken in the sun to finally look like classic sunglasses and of course have the filter function (UV400 protection). Protection against the sun varies from category 0 to 3 (from light to dark (…)).

The processing of the plastic and the insertions is perfectly managed, the eyewear makes a robust impression. Inside it has a tough, rubberized frame, one has provided with a vent.
